SCHOOL INFRASTRUCTURE

The New Indian School W.L.L is situated in the educational hub of Isa town, close to GDN Office and Aster Clinic. The school is lying in a spacious campus of approx. 11,000 Square meter with modern infrastructure.

The building has 3 floors with approx. 89 classrooms & an auditorium, library, labs and state of the art facilities that any modern school can boast of.

The school has a legacy of almost 3 decades with many batches of students who have passed out in flying colors both the Class X & Class XII Board Exams [AISSE, AISSCE] conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education [CBSE], New Delhi

SCHOOL LIBRARY

 

The fully functioning NIS library provides an amazing space for students, faculty and staff.

The library houses a collection of over 15,000 new books and 25 periodicals for all grade and interest levels. Our brand-new collection fully supports the school’s curriculum, mission, Motto In Pursuit of Excellence and philosophy. The library also has educational and general multimedia and is well equipped with smart board and computer with Internet access.

Various activities and events are organized for the students including debate, quiz, speech, seminars, power point presentations, trainings, guidance for the students in an educational environment rich with collaboration, critical thinking and interactive learning.

SCHOOL AUDITORIUM

The school provides a multipurpose auditorium for the students to conduct Special Assemblies, indoor activates, key note sessions, Counselling and guidance sessions & other school related activities.

SCHOOL CLINIC

School Clinic is health care facility within school intended to provide basic health care for students and refer them to the specialist primary health center if required. To provide emergency for illness or injury while at school to monitor for and control the spread of communicable disease to provide education and counseling in a variety of health and wellness topics, to serve as a medical resource. Providing first aid, providing health counseling and education and support students to acquire self-management skills.

FACILITIES

Two rooms (separate for boys and girls) with four beds, wheel-chair, chairs, dressing table is available. First aid box, height and weight machine, room thermos meter, refrigerator , thermometer, sharp container, O2 cylinder, Nebulizer, glucometer, sphygmomanometer, pulse oximeter , medicine cub board, stethoscope are all used for the students / staff .

 

THE EXAMINATION DEPARTMENT

The New Indian School Examination cell plays a key role in conducting the internal examinations of the School like Periodic test, Term Exams, the Model / Mock exams for the Senior Classes and also the Annual Exams. External examinations like TIMSS, ACER and Bahrain citizenship exam in the school are also conducted. There is sufficient number of supporting staff to supervise the routine work of the cell. The cell is under the direct supervision of the Principal.

The cell is well established in terms of infrastructure, computing and printing facilities. The Examination cell maintains a database of the record of current students as well as passed out students in order to generate the information when required. The secrecy & sanctity of the examination is well maintained.

 

COMPUTER LAB

Computer is a subject which is now prevalent in every corner of the world and here in NIS we,'ve provided the students with an environment where they'll be able to enhance and develop their technical skills which can later be utilized in various fields. We have 4 labs equipped with 100 systems. We have also got 8 well qualified teachers. From this academic year onwards CBSE has introduced the programming language, Python for the senior secondary class for IP and Computer science students. The students will be extremely benefitted by learning this language. From classes 2-10, we teach different topics with different levels (MS Office, Paint, HTML, Java Script, SQL, Open Office, C++ & the basics of Python and etc.

 

SCIENCE LABORATORIES

Direct observation and interpretation of many aspects of the material world is acquired through laboratory activities. Science lab is a workplace for the conduct of scientific research. It helps students to remember the concepts better. It helps to transfer the experience to other learning situations. It is a facility that provides controlled conditions in which scientific research, experiments and measurement may be performed. NIS has well equipped laboratories to reinforce scientific concepts through experimentation.

Physics lab

Well-equipped and spacious physics lab has all sets of interesting experiments to understand laws of nature. Students conducts experiments in many frontier areas. These areas include Electricity, Magnetism, Optics, Semiconductor physics, Astronomy, Mechanics and Wave motions. The lab is equipped with astronomical telescope for all levels of sky experiences.

Chemistry lab

Chemistry lab is designed while keeping all standard norms and safety measures. In the lab, students learn to handle apparatus and chemicals. Students improve their understanding in chemical reactions by performing inorganic, organic experiments and investigatory projects. The chemicals are well arranged and stored in a safe manner and a lab attendant also maintains all the norms for the lab.

Biology lab

Well designed with microscopes and specimens to study structures and physiological aspects of plants and animals. Biology lab provides first-hand experience to the children about flora & fauna around us.

The Department of science offers a vibrant atmosphere to students and faculty to nurture the spirit of scientific inquiry and to pursue cutting-edge experiments in a highly encouraging environment.

 

COUNSELLING CELL

The Guidance and Counselling department (GCD) of our school was established to face new psychological and social challenges amongst young learners that require guidance and counselling. The Department ensures that the school facilities which are in place are effectively utilized for the total development of the individual student, to enable the individual to lead a more fulfilling life. Students are guided not only in the discipline and behavior aspect but also to for the selection of subjects for further studies, career avenues, personal and social problems. The unit also coordinates the training and development programs with health and family life education in schools. The department has two academic counsellors / Social Counsellors who collaborate and facilitate with the individual to change in order to empower students to embrace their potential and achieve their personal and academic aspirations. The GCD is equipped with a counselling corner and a career guidance corner for 1 to 1 meetings with students. The department computers are LAN and Wi-Fi technology enabled. The GCD premises are CCTV monitored, well-furnished and is closely located to the principal and vice principal's offices for their advisory support and any immediate interventions.

SPORTS FACILITIES

Facility for indoor games like Chess, Badminton,Table Tennis etc and vast Playgrounds for Football and Basketball.
